Runaway Explorer

This is the first song I have written on the computer. It was started on a Mag lap-top and finished on a Dell Pentium 233MHz machine. Original melody was started on piano with the chords first, then main melody was played up with a "Snake charmer" type of sound on my mind. This song is pretty basic, and has no actual bass to it, just a low octave piano sound. I played around a bit on pitch bends and vibrato on a few sections of the song. Not quite sure how I got the title, just sounded to me like something you would hear as you were running away or trying to escape something, and explore.

Into The Orient

I came up with the melody on a keyboard using a sound that sounded Chinese, and everyone that heard the song while it was being written said it sounded oriental so I decided to keep it in that sort of theme.

Translucent Dreams

This is the first song I have written that I actually am proud of. I like my use of bass, echo, and drums. One night I was sitting in my apartment, and I had this weird tune going through my head, so after watching a movie, I started this song. If I remember right, I finished it in 45 minutes. at the melody at the end of the song, I can just hear a huge choir singing the melody over and over again. No words, just vocal sounds. I hope to someday add that in.

Future Dance

This song got it's name because of the mechanical sounding instruments, and effects. It really isn't about anything specific, I was just playing around with my music tracker. This song has quite a bit of high pitched notes. It isn't one of my favorites, but it is fun to listen to while you are driving, or just sitting around going over your music collection, as I do quite often.

Come To Me

If you have ever seen the movie "Fright Night" you know this song. It is very Intimate sounding. Listening to the song, you can just lay back and imagine getting seduced by a Vampire. I had to do a version of this. It has a very catchy tune to it, and it is mysterious.

Egyptian Nights

Got it's name by all the pitch bends, and by the basic sounds of the instruments. This song has no drums, gets over-powering at some points, and the layout is very basic. This is another one of my very first songs, I was experimenting with computers, and with the music tracker when it was written.

Radiant Sunrise

This has to be definitely one of my very favorite songs. In the top 5 for sure!! It took me quite a while to complete this song. I love the way all the melodies and harmonies come together. The only thing I am a little unsatisfied with is the choice of instruments I used. I have tried once to change all the instruments. but it is nearly impossible to replicate the true sound and emotion of the piece.

Dance Of The Crystals

This song gets really crazy with percussion. and the main instrument sounds like a crystal. There is really no meaning behind this song, I just felt like writing, and this is what came out one day.

Dwarfs In The Night

It was late... It was dark.... It was quiet... This was written on a cheap lap-top that I was borrowing before I actually had a computer of my own to work with. I was sitting on the floor in the living room using headphones because the lap-top speakers sucked so much, that even little $ .99 headphones made the comp. sound better.

Immortal Virtue

This melody was written using a variety of organ sounds on my Dad's keyboard. I started by recording layer by layer to get what I was looking for. after I was impressed, I then tracked it on the computer. This song is a bit catchy, and the drums remind me of some sort of old-school type of rap song or something.

A Walk Through Tomorrow

I had this dream that I was walking through a forest, this is the kind of song I can picture for that incident. This is another No-Drum song. Since my music is basically composed in a classical style, I am used to playing cello in my high school orchestra, and not having any drums or anything, I don't always feel drums are necessary to complete a song.

Nightmare Trilogies

I got this new instrument, and the only composition I could come up with had to sound scary-ish. So I came up with three sections and worked them in together as one song, and somehow came up with the title of this song.

Awakening Spirits

This was a song that I was inspired to write by a song I played in my high school orchestra. I loved playing it, and I loved playing it, so I wrote a similar melody, and added stuff to it. this is one of my longest songs, (about 6 minutes) and again.... Has no drums. This song was started before I ever had access to a computer at all. I was over at a friends house, and I was telling him what kind of instruments I wanted to use, and I told him what I wanted... note-for-note. He added some effects and added the bass line. When I got my own computer, I brought the song home on disk, and finished it several months later.

Burlesque Show

I found these "BIG SOUNDING" Kettle drums, and a big crash cymbal, and I came up with a beat that reminded me of something you would see on TV watching an old show from the 50's where they would be at a nudie bar or something, and this girl would come out with stockings, and feathers, and never would get naked, because back in those days, they couldn't, and people would be having a good time watching this girl dance around for some reason. If you ever have seen something similar to this, you can only realize that the music she is dancing around to is always very corny, and basic. I felt it was my turn to try that.

 Romantic Breeze

I wrote this song on the piano at first, then transcribed it on piano with strings, and a fantasy synth.  This is another song with out drums. It is a slow and pretty love song.

Reverberation

This was written on piano back when I was in 10th grade. My dad said the way I played the melody, it sounded like a bunch of reverb, and he suggested the title of the song. When I transcribed it on computer I decided to keep it strictly piano. No Drums.

Cotton Road

This song is one of my favorites, I was pleased by the bass, and the general tune heard in this song made me think of a big cotton candy machine. I could just picture the stick turning and grabbing all of this spun sugar gathering it up, creating cotton candy, so that's how I got the title of this song.

Haunted Souls

I really wanted to experiment with drums, and I found this cool "Whip" sound, and I remember I just got a bunch of new instruments, so I started writing one night, and this is what I got. The title was suggested by a ALTAiR.

Forgotten Cities

This song was pretty much written the same time that Haunted souls was written. Using the same lines of instruments, and sounds, I came up with this tune. I like at the end of the song how the drums fade, and the melody continues to go strongly. then, here comes a drum solo, and they pick up again until the end of the song.

Desert Wind

The title alone describes this song. Visualize a desert with a few small rocks, and a cactus or two, and all of a sudden here comes a slightly strong wind. thin branches of trees that are nowhere in site, and long blades of grass again nowhere in site come flying by.

Diving Free

Most of my songs have a sound to them that are either slow and mysterious, or in a minor key, I wanted one that wasn't either of those. I came up with this, and it reminds me of diving away from something.

Cyndroliquel Hornpipe

I wrote this back in the day on piano. It is about 30-45 seconds in length. It got it's name by one night I was on the phone and I was describing something to be cylindrical, and I pronounced it all wrong, and Cyndroliquel just stuck, so I wrote a song with that word in mind.

Mystical Cavern

I was showing Sarah how I write music one night, and I was teaching her the program I used. She picked out all the instruments, and I came up with each part of what instruments do what. I was told it sounded like something from the movie "The Labyrinth" so I named it Mystical Cavern. I am pleased with the Drums.

The Sea Chantey

I have always loved hearing those "Yo Ho" Pirate songs, and I tried to write one, but instead I came up with this, and I can just see two people dressed like French-men with black and white striped shirts and red scarves on this little canoe looking boat, trying to overcome a tragedy at sea. I hope to soon do a video skit using this song, and what I described of it.

Retaliation

I wrote this the tragic night of 9-11-02. I was driving to work that day, and it was quiet, kinda sunny, and I walk into work and the first thing I hear is "This is gonna start a war" I had no Idea of what was going on. then I found out. I was baffled. So I wrote this song later that night with the chaos in my mind of what had happened that morning.

Myself

I had the Idea of creating a song using nothing but my voice, and sounds I could make with my mouth. It needs some fine tuning before I will release it. It's weird to think what a human voice can do when it is enhanced.

Last Kiss

I have always liked this song. When I heard Pearl Jam's Version of it, I thought it was pretty cool, and I felt like I should have done it too. I was originally planning on making my 3rd album a Cover album, where all songs on it would be remakes of songs I like, and wanted to remake. That idea went down the tubes though. Mainly for all the work it would take to make it legal with copyrights and stuff.

 Dancing Ghosts

When I first went to Disney Land I was young, and I remember riding the Haunted Mansion, There is an area in there where you see these ghosts ballroom dancing, and it just intrigued me. Also in the video game Castlevania IV, there are some dancing ghosts. If you have seen either of those, that is what inspired this song.
